Information You Submit
A name, telephone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party results provider; our servers do not retain a copy of the query. A message sent to us contains only the information the sender includes, which we use to respond.
Information Collected Automatically
Standard hosting logs may contain an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. We review aggregate patterns to maintain the service and understand page use. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where applicable.
What We Do With This Data
We use limited data to operate the site, troubleshoot errors, measure traffic, and improve content. Visitor lists are not sold, and we do not create individual user profiles.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Depending on residence, a visitor may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held by a website. The Rexburg research identified no generally applicable Idaho comprehensive consumer-privacy statute to cite here, so requests are handled under applicable law. Because we retain little, we check the contact mailbox and server logs for responsive data. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by Idaho, Madison County, or Rexburg offices remain under their custodians’ control; correction or removal requests must go to the relevant office.
Updates to This Policy
Any change to this policy will be posted on this page. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
